The Wanderer's Shirt

You’re sat on your favourite chair, looking out to the valley of rolling, grassy hills as the birds sing songs of greetings and good mornings. Your pipe begins to warm your hand as you practice your infamous smoke rings. Some ash flutters down onto your favourite shirt, which you then brush off and reminisce on the adventures had when you used to wander these lands. Indeed, you and this piece of cloth have been through thick and thin. You smile widely.

Our Wanderer’s Shirt is inspired by the timeless styles associated with halfling culture as well as our own human history.

We sought to create something that could keep up with your adventures, layer well like the amazing halfling styles, and carry flavours of the 17th century.

At the forefront of the design is the tied front with a flat collar, creating a classic and versatile silhouette that layers beautifully with cloaks, vests, and outerwear.
The laced front features gold or silver coloured grommets tied together with 100% cotton cord. Each cord end is wrapped with thread and dipped in our beeswax and carnauba blend to naturally help prevent fraying while maintaining a traditional handcrafted appearance.

The sleeves are finished with adjustable frilled cuffs that use the same cotton cord system, allowing you to customize both fit and styling.

Hidden throughout the garment are thoughtful construction details designed for long-term comfort and durability. Wherever possible, we use flat-felled seams to create a more comfortable and sensory-friendly interior finish. Twill tape reinforces the collar seam while improving comfort against the skin.

One of our favourite details is the underarm gussets. These additional fabric panels increase mobility and reduce restriction through the shoulders and arms, making the shirt far more comfortable during movement, combat, work, or long days of wear. Truly, gussets just rock.

The Wanderer’s Shirt follows our Forged vs. Draped fit system, which changes how the garment sits and moves on the body. This allows you to choose between a more structured or relaxed silhouette without requiring full tailoring.

The Wanderer’s Shirt is available in two natural fabric options: 100% organic cotton or 100% premium linen.

Our organic cotton option provides a softer, smoother feel while remaining breathable and comfortable. It is a more budget-friendly choice that still performs significantly better than many synthetic fabrics or blended materials.

Cotton is dependable, versatile, and familiar. It is a fabric most people already know and love.

Linen offers a lightweight, highly breathable, and exceptionally durable experience. Because linen is more difficult to process, it naturally comes at a higher price point, but the result is a premium fabric that excels during long events, warm weather, and active wear.

Linen also develops a beautiful lived-in texture over time that pairs perfectly with historical and fantasy-inspired garments.

Both materials were chosen because they are natural, breathable, and comfortable for long periods of wear. The right choice simply depends on your preferences and how you intend to use the garment.

Care Instructions

• Hand wash cold or machine wash on gentle cycle
• Do not bleach
• Hang to dry
• Tumble dry low only if necessary
• Iron on medium heat as needed
• Wash with similar colours
• Avoid high heat to preserve fabric integrity
• Remove promptly after washing to reduce wrinkling
